JACKSON LOOP

The Jackson Loop is a 170-mile extended backroad adventure designed for drivers who enjoy a full day of scenic exploration. With a well-rounded mix of forest routes, twisting gravel sections, and small-town amenities, the loop takes approximately 6-7 hours depending on stops and conditions.

LIMERICK LOOP

Southern Ohio

The Limerick Loop is a 121.66-mile mixed-surface route centered around the rugged terrain of Tar Hollow State Forest, widely considered the most demanding and technical loop in the region. Blending challenging off-road climbs with smoother gravel and forest connectors, this route delivers a true test of driver skill and vehicle capability. Expect a total completion time of 6–7 hours, depending heavily on conditions and how long technical sections take to navigate.

MCARTHUR LOOP

The McArthur Loop is a 147-mile mixed-surface backroad route offering a full, immersive rural driving experience. With an approximate 5.5-hour drive time, it delivers a satisfying blend of forest stretches through Wayne National Forest and Dean State Forest, rolling countryside, and small-town amenities, making it ideal for a full-day outing.

NELSONVILLE LOOP

The Nelsonville Loop is a 104-mile mixed-surface backroad route winding through the diverse terrain of Wayne National Forest. Featuring rally-style gravel sections, quiet pavement connectors, and one highly technical trail segment, this loop offers a balanced mix of speed, scenery, and challenge. Total completion time is approximately 4-4.5 hours, depending on pace and trail conditions.

RATCLIFFBURG LOOP

Southern Ohio

The Ratcliffburg Loop is a rugged 87 mile loop with an approximate 4 hour drive time. It is an adventure-focused backroad route centered around the remote terrain of Tar Hollow State Forest. Known for its dense woods, tight hollows, and technical trail spurs, this loop blends scenic gravel travel with off-road challenges. It is ideal for experienced drivers looking for a more demanding, immersive day in the backcountry.

WEST UNION LOOP

Southern Ohio

The West Union Loop is a 205.5-mile mixed-surface route and the longest of the group, offering the most diverse terrain and driving experience in southern Ohio. Traversing Pike Lake State Park, Brush Creek State Forest, Shawnee State Forest, and Pike State Forest, this loop blends everything from technical trail segments to rally-style gravel and flowing rural pavement. Total completion time ranges from 7–9 hours depending on pace, conditions, and driving style.

ZALESKI LOOP

The Zaleski Loop is a 94-mile scenic driving route that winds through the heart of Zaleski State Forest and the surrounding rural countryside.
